Significant Buildings of Central Queensland.

Buildings

Provision of health services involves an interdependent mix of buildings, equipment and people. To tell the full and integrated story is a complex task. The buildings are one part of the health care system which are familiar to all since we know that they are there, whether or not we ever enter them. In most cases, they persist for longer than either the people or the equipment. On this page we introduce each of the significant buildings and sites which have played a key role in the development of health services in the Rockhampton district during the late 19th and through the 20th centuries. Clicking on the images will lead you to larger photographs and more detail.
